Osteopathy is a 'hands-on' manual therapy and one of the oldest approaches to the treatment of joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissue (fascia/lymph). In treating these structures, the functions of the musculoskeletal system, the nervous system, and also the circulatory, respiratory and immune systems of the body are able heal more effectively.
Manual osteopathic treatment is great for people of all ages and stages. It is a proven form of treatment for many people. It is safe, effective, and gentle. Treatment plans are individually created and specific to your needs and goals.
Yes, manual osteopathic treatment may be used in combination with physiotherapy/massage therapy or naturopathy (or other professions). From time to time, patients may need another modality which may lie outside of the scope of practice for osteopathy and therefore a referral to other health care practitioners will be made for your needs/goals for healing.
A doctor’s referral is not required. However, it is important to speak to your medical doctor for the complete diagnosis of any medical conditions.

Treatment sessions vary in length and is decided with you at your initial appointment. The initial appointment is a thorough assessment, planning and treatment that is built around your specific health care needs. Typically, appointments are once a week for 3 weeks and then vary between every other week, to every 3-4 weeks to resolve your issue or gain the most optimal outcomes for you possible.

Initial Assessment/Treatment $200 (90 minutes)

Follow Up Sessions:
  • 1 hour - $140
  • 45 mins - $125
  • 30 mins - $90
  • Infants and children under 10 years of age 30 - 60 minutes - $100

Payment - Cash/Cheque/E-transfer accepted.

Generally, one session per week or every second week is preferred. The time between sessions is decreased to allow for the body to adapt over time. Typically, a few treatments are enough to relieve the pain/symptoms; other times a longer treatment plan is required – this is based on each individual’s needs/goals.
Please wear light-weight, comfy clothes to your appointments. Please remove contact lenses as glasses are preferred during your sessions.
Manual osteopathic treatments are currently pursuing recognition by the regulated health professions act in Ontario (RHPA). Some health plans may cover these services. However, there are certain instances where coverage may not be applicable. If this is a concern for you, please contact your insurance company and/or discuss your options with your therapist.
